New Panda Print
Tuesday, September 08, 2009

Well these have been a long time in the making. I had this idea, which feels like decades ago, to do a print that was half screenprinted and the other half hand painted making each print unique. 21 prints and 4 months later they are finally finished. Since I always enjoy reading about the creative process of others, I decided to document my entire process starting with a simple sketch. The fine peeps at the BLDG were kind enough to help a fellow out with the screenprinting. Anyways, I hope you enjoy the pics. On sale now!

My initial sketch.

Here I had printed out my panda sketch to full size to use as a guide as I painted on the film that would be used to shoot the screen and lay down the white.

Screenprinting madness!

The white is down and its time to do some inking.

Whew, done and done! Thats about it. I think it took me just as long to write this post as it did to make these guys. Hope you enjoyed the process.
